Still 2 PUPPIES left

Fiona is doing Great!

Hi Candice~

Just wanted to update you on how Fiona is doing. Bella's friend who is into princesses help name her. She is doing very well, she is soooo sweet and very good with the kids. She is doing well (better than my son) at potty training so I am pleased about that and sleeping through the night :) She loves all the attention she gets from the neighborhood kids and had a few play-dates herself and has done so well.

At her first vet check she did great (no worms) and got an overall good health check. She likes to take short van trips with us and only puked on that first trip home. She'll sit between the kids but I don't think she is going to fit for long! She is chewing on everything but so are my kids :)
We like to go on walks in the evening to tire everyone out. She seems so much bigger now after only 2 weeks and everyone makes comments on how big her paws are and that she'll be huge! The cats don't love her yet; they'll hiss if she gets to close and she'll just come and sit by me.

Here are a few photos of the kids with her, one of Bella in the yard being a dog with her.... hmmmm my plan didn't work that she would stop being a dog when we got one :)
We are so happy with Fiona and just wanted you to know that she is doing great and we love her very much!
Thanks, Jenny

Tessala "Tessa" Goes Home to Donald, Jennifer & Bailey

A South Whidbey family just brought home their newest member, Tessa, last Tuesday as a birthday present for mom. Father and daughter, Donald & Bailey, picked her out. She is a sweet, calm puppy and is going to enjoy the youthful exuberance that comes from living with a family, as well as boat rides on the lake!

Michael & Family Bring their Island Puppy Home

Michael picked up a female puppy we temporarily called "Blue Stripe" on Friday. Blue Stripe joins Michael, his wife, and their 9 month old baby girl. They make a beautiful family don't they? Blue Stripe will be an Island dog living up in Oak Harbor.

Jennifer & Family Take Fiona aka Gorda

Jennifer and her two boys came and picked up a puppy today. It has been a puppy day!! We call the puppy Gorda; she is the fattest puppy. While the other puppies stay slim, she gets fat. On the cute and pudgy side of the equation. She is mellow and sweet. She joins Jennifer and husband and their 3 children, one girl and two boys.

Barrett's New Puppy: Ruby

I have a picture of Barrett and her puppy "Ruby", above. The other picture is of Ruby enjoying the shade. The two of them came over for a visit today. Ruby enjoyed a short romp with her siblings. Mama Lucy greeted Ruby with gentle mouthing, biting, and woofs making sure that she was submissive. It's kind of strange to see a dog do this with their puppies! It is perfectly normal though for a mother dog to do this. Lucy has also weaned her puppies so this helped the weaning process along.

Puppies Walking & Individual Profiles

Below are individual profiles of the Puppies, as well as information on our walks

We walk the puppies every morning and evening. It is a lot of fun for all of us!Here is "Swimmer" first to go in the pond in the field on our walks. She loves the water. (They all do!) She is wide through the shoulders and is the biggest puppy left. She is still available.

Here is the pond the puppies enjoy every day. Swimmer is on the far left. There's Lucy in the water, enjoying the view.

The start of the walk. Mama Lucy leads the way . . .

Here is Rocket and Whidbey (above), back for a visit while their parents/owners are on a trip. They are here for 9 days. They have been living at their new home in Seattle for 4 weeks and when their owners asked to board them for just over a week we said, yes! It was a great reunion.

This gal (above) was just chosen for a family that just lost their previous dog. They live on the island and are going to enjoy taking her on their boat and on runs!

Here is a puppy that is still available (above). She is "Blue Stripe" for her red collar with a blue stripe.

This is "Runner" (both two pictures above). She loves to run and is the fastest of the puppies. She has a sleek, long body. A real lover. She LOVES attention!

Seven and Ruby

In the past several weeks two puppies, one male we called Seven, because of a large white "7" on his chest, and Ruby, a female, went to their new homes. I do not have any pictures, yet! I hope to post some pictures for all of you in the next couple of weeks. Seven is with a family here on the south end and Ruby is with Barrett.

Beach Pups

The puppy's first car ride and beach day was today, I got up early to organize the outing. We took four puppies to Double Bluff for a beach and ocean experience, early in the morning (for us). They loved it, and so did we! I had my mom there to help and Stella & Marina. We were very ambitious! People enjoyed petting and interacting with us and the puppies. All of the pups went into the water with me (& Stella in the baby Bjorn carrier), quite deep for their first experience: all the way up to their bellies. They really enjoyed the seaweed, specifically the kelp and a very dead, unidentifiable sea animal, maybe a seal? That was when we decided to go home! I definitely recommend bringing your puppy to the beach, sans dead seal! You'll see it in a whole new light . . .

Running Puppies: Daily Exercise

I have been taking the puppies running twice a day before their meals. They are able to keep up quite well considering their age and size. It has been a lot of fun for me to take them out. Tomorrow we plan to take all the puppies to the beach for a special outing. I'll let you know how it goes.

5 Female Puppies Available!

As of Sat, July 5th, we have 5 female puppies available to go to good homes.
The puppies are almost 9 weeks old! I have been taking them on walks around the farm, morning and evening, before their meals. That way they earn their food and stay in good shape. The puppies enjoy exploring the tall grass, unusual smells, and romping after me full speed. I have to walk fast to stay ahead of them! After walks and meals it is fun to sit down and pet the puppies. They each like to sit on my lap and relax. Some of them are "kissers" and love to lick my face. Lots of fun!

Rainy Day Puppy Pick-Up: Mary & Tom Take Yogi Bear Home

Mary and Tom picked up their new puppy and kitten Thursday morning. It was pouring rain and thundering, a real summer storm. This is the puppy we have been calling bear, due to his shaggy coat, lumbering gait, and big rolly poly body. He's off to a good start with one of his kitten friends and his new owners. Bye Bear!

Victor & family's Puppy

The last available male puppy was picked up by Victor for him & his family. There is one more male puppy who is paid for that will be going home next week. The puppies are now going on daily walks around the farm with me and their mom. We are also beginning to use dog psychology: exercise, discipline, and affection in that order to help the puppies understand that we humans are the pack leaders. That way the dogs can relax and be mellow. If they think they are the pack leaders then they will greet people for you, possibly show unnecessary aggression, push their way out the door before you, run away, etc! Check out Cesar Milan's web site for more information on this technique.
